I have so many pictures to share, so I decided to just put a link on here to Kodak so that you can look at them: Joey's Pictures.
My mom a.k.a. Grammie is leaving tomorrow. Joey and I are going to be sad:( She has cooked, cleaned, done laundry, helped with Joey and CeCe, and more since being here! The good news is that she is coming back next week with my dad, brother, aunt, and cousins for Joey's baptism!

My Poor Baby!
I experienced something today that was worse than childbirth. We took Joey to get circumcised. I think that I cried more than he did. The doctor and nurse were so nice and did what they could to calm me, but I was still a mess. Joey cried mostly because he was naked and he doesn't like that! We got home and he has been eating and sleeping fine...back to his normal day, but I am still exhausted and worn out from the day!

It's Official!
I am officially the mom of a little boy. This morning, at 5:30am while changing Joey's diaper groggily, I got peed on. Then he smiled at me. You might say that it was gas, but I think that he just loves me:) Here is a picture from yesterday of him smiling.

Day 6
We had to cancel Joey's circumcision for today because his bilirubin levels are still high. Instead of going down, they have gone up since we have been home from the hospital. Today was the fourth day in a row that he had to get pricked in the foot and give blood. The poor little guy hates anyone to touch his feet--just like his mommy!

Here is a picture of him in his swing. He loves it and falls asleep the minute he sits in it!

A Family Picture
Here is the newest picture of our family (CeCe wouldn't cooperate so we kicked her out of the picture.)
I called the pediatrician today to make an appointment for Joey to get circumcised. They don't do them at the hospital when they are born . Instead, we have to go to the pediatrican's office on Thursday morning to get it done. We are not looking forward to that. Luckily, my mom is here to help because we have definatly found that 3 sets of hands are better than 2!

Joseph William McKenna, Jr
As you already know, Joseph William (Joey) was born on Saturday, January 19. It was the best and worst day! They started me on pitocin at 6am, broke my water and gave me my epidural by 10am. We were going strong and dialated to 4cm around 2 when Joey's heartbeat started to slow down. They took me off of the pitocin and figured that it would be a long time until he arrived. At around 3, the epidural wore off and I felt the worst pains that I had ever felt in my life! I started moving very fast, dialated all the way up to 8 cm by 5. I don't think that the nurses believed me when I said that I was in a ton of pain. Neither did the doctor! My mom got there at 5:30 and saw me acting (as Joe says) like Linda Blair from the Exorcist. Around 6, they measured me and realized that I was fully dialted, but the doctor still wasn't there! Each contraction that I had, I felt that Joey wanted to come out. The nurses told me to stop pushing because my doctor wasn't there! I didn't care...the pain was so bad that I couldn't help but push. At 6:27, Joey came into this world weighing 8 lbs 6 oz and measuring 22 inches. Here is a picture of our handsome little guy:
Unfortunately, he has a little jaundice, so we have to take him for some more bloodwork tomorrow and to see his doctor.

We Got the Call!
Who thought that going into child labor included that important call from the hospital? Well, at 3am this morning, they called and told us to be there in an hour to start my induction. We will keep you updated on what happens. Wish me luck!

Still Pregnant...
Well, I haven't had him yet. Yesterday, the doctor's office finally called me back and informed me that I am scheduled to be induced on Saturday, assuming that they aren't too crowded and that there isn't anyone that is more urgent to induce than me. They won't call until Saturday to tell me what time to be there. It sounded a little odd to me, so I asked if there is a chance that they won't call me on Saturday. She said yes...it just depends on the availibility of the hospital. It is really frustrating to think that I might have to wait until next week. I was having contractions earlier today, but they have stopped. I am starting to think that this baby just isn't going to come out!
