Things That I Say...

I never realized that I say certain things more than others. I talk and words flow out of my mouth. Since Joey has started talking, he is picking things up that I say and repeating them. My favorite thing that he says, although it isn't really a word, is when he takes his pointer finger to his mouth and says "ummm." He actually uses it correctly, too, like when he is picking out a book or deciding what he wants for a snack. I just can't get it on camera.
Another of Joey's new favorite words is "yea." It drives me crazy that my 2 year old says "yea." Until recently, this was a sample conversation:

Me: Joey, do you want a snack?
Joey: Yea.
Me: It's YES, please.
Joey: Yethhhhh, pease.

Do you know how often we have that conversation with various things throughout the day? I can't get him to say YES, please or even just YES! I have found myself saying "yea" and I am trying to stop myself so I guess when I stop, he will. Hopefully.

Now onto Joey's very favorite word EVER. The word "no" has invaded our house and I don't even know how it happened. Here is our new typical conversation(it alternates between the one above and this one, but mostly this is my life):

Me: Joey, do you want a snack?
Joey: No. Yea.
Me: No, thank you or Yes, please.
Joey: No. Yethhhh, pease.
Me: Do you have to say no all of the time?
Joey: No.

I do have to say, though, even when Joey is saying "no" I love him and that little stubborn face. He is my little buddy and we are enjoying our life with him!

Me: Maria come here.
Maria: NO.
Me: Maria eat your dinner.
Maria: NO!
Me: It's time for bed.
Maria: NO.
