Something Different...

Most of my posts are about Joey and what he is up to. I decided to post something different...what I am up to. Recently I have been cooking a lot. So many people told me I wouldn't be able to cook with a newborn because I would be too busy. Well, I am busy, but in the evening, Joey loves to sit in his bouncy chair and stare at the moving frogs. That gives me the time to cook. I have been obsessed with making homemade brownies. The recipe that I have been making is from a friend here in California. She went to cooking school so of course, her brownies come out perfect. Mine have come out burnt and undercooked, both times the oven's fault of course. I have also been cooking with a lot of fresh herbs, which explains my picture. I bought a fresh basil plant. Obviously I don't have a green thumb.



I had it for less than two days and it started drooping. I have put in in the sun, out of the sun, watered it a lot, let it dry out a little and still, it is dying and pathetic looking. I guess I will go back to buying the small little containers of already picked basil.
