4 Generations

This morning, my dad's mom came to visit us. She didn't get the chance to meet Joey when we were in Pittsburgh in April. Joey is her first and only great grandchild. Being the happy baby that he is, he smiled and talked to her.

We were happy to get some pictures with her. We were also happy that my dad's brother, my Uncle Mark came to visit, too, but we didn't get any pictures of him.

The Yankee's game in Pittsburgh

My dad's friend gave us tickets to go see the Yankee's play the Pirates in Pittsburgh. The game
was sold out and we had some pretty good seats. I decided that I should kinda root for the Yankees because Joe will always love the Yankees. That is fine with me,because he is a Steeler and Penguins fan. I guess 2 out of 3 isn't so bad. Anyways, Joe, my brother Mike, his girlfriend Maggie and I went to the game. We had a great time and Joe was happy because the Yankee's won.

This is a picture of the view of Pittsburgh from our seats.

Enjoying Our Vacation

We have been having a great time on the east coast. We visited Joe's family in New York and Joey got to meet lots of new people. He was most excited to meet his new cousin Jack. Unfortunately, Joey didn't do a lot of sleeping because of all of the shopping and visiting that we did in New York. Today, he took an almost 3 hour nap along with a few others during the day. Hopefully he will be back on his schedule by this weekend.

Here is a picture of Joey on the airplane from LA to New York:

And a few favorites from our trip to New York:

So Ridiculous!

This story has been around on the internet and the news, but I thought I would put it on my blog, too. There are 17 girls at a high school that is about 30 miles north of Boston that are pregnant. They all decided to get pregnant and made a pact to raise their babies together. One of the fathers is a homeless man. WHAT?!?!?! Where are their parents? These girls have no idea what it takes to raise a baby. Anyone that has had a baby knows that waking up at 1am, 3am, and 5 am all in one night is not fun. If you want someone to love you, go buy a dog or a cat. Don't bring an innocent baby into this world.

CeCe's going to the kennel...

I woke up this morning feeling sick. My poor dog has to go to the kennel. She has never gone to the kennel in her 4 years of life. Usually, she travels with us or stays with friends. But, the 5 hour plane ride is just too long for her. The longest she can do is about 2 1/2 hours and then she needs out.
I am not sure how she will do at the kennel. She is the most spoiled dog ever. She sleeps in bed with us, she gets the food that we drop on the floor, and she plays ball whenever we have the chance to play with her. I asked around and found the kennel that has the best reputation, but still...it's a kennel. She will be there from today until Thursday, July 3rd when my friend will pick her up. We get back on July 4th, but they aren't open until Sunday. I can't leave her there if I am at home. Luckily we have some good friends that will help us out. Anyways, here is a picture of CeCe sleeping behind me, not knowing what is going to happen in a few hours:(

We are leaving tomorrow morning out of LAX. We are flying to New York for a few days and then we are going to Pittsburgh. If you want to see us and will be around in either city, give Joe or I a call on our cells!

5 Months Old!

My Joey is 5 months old today! I really can't believe how fast the past 5 months have gone. Maybe because his first 3 months of life were kinda a blur, even though he slept good from the beginning! Joey currently loves to play with his lobster toy and read books. He is sleeping about 8-10 hours everynight, which makes me very happy! He loves to stare at CeCe and likes to talk a lot! Everything goes in his mouth. He is almost sitting up by himself. Hopefully when we get back from our two week trip to New York and Pittsburgh, his new carseat that I ordered will be here, because he is getting too big for his infant carseat!
Here is a picture of him now and his first best friend, CeCe:

Please excuse the his wet shirt...he is drooling like crazy, but still no teeth in sight!

ick!

I had heard this a few days ago on the news (it was on the news somewhere inbetween the million shootings in LA and the live televised first lesbian wedding in LA county) but I tried to ignore it because of my love for lemon in my water. But, I just looked at my cousin Julie's blog where she has this video posted. Very disturbing.

Happy Father's Day!

Today was Joe's first Father's Day and I think that he had a good one. We went into town and while there, we went to Target, Toys R Us, and ate sushi at The Big Tuna. Then we came home and after Joey's nap, we put him in his pool to go swimming. He liked it more today. Not that he did anything that made me think that he didn't like it the other day, but today he kicked his feet and was splashing with his hands.

Here are a few more pictures from the past two weeks: Joey's Pictures
On Saturday, we leave LAX for New York and then Pittsburgh. We are excited to go visit our family and friends. Joe has a break from school from June 21-July 6. We are both looking forward to the break!

Joey Eating Cereal

I think that my son is nosey-er (is that a word?) than I am. Joe decided that we had to film Joey eating his rice cereal. So, as Joe is filming, Joey is staring at him, following him everywhere he went. Don't worry, though, he kept his mouth open and still kept eating.

Rice Cereal

We gave Joey some rice cereal this morning. When I went to the doctor a few weeks ago, he told me not to give him anything until 6 months. I decided that a little rice cereal won't hurt, especially when I have lots of friends that give their babies fruits and veggies at 4 months! So, we are going to start slow:) He liked it and kept opening his mouth for more, but his shirt was a mess! We didn't get a picture, but here is one of him yesterday laughing at Joe.
