Family Pictures

We went out into the desert (aka our backyard) with some friends(Jodi and Doug) to get family pictures taken for our Christmas cards. Jodi, Doug and Cooper(4 years old) moved in across the street from us this summer and Jodi and I have become fast friends. Luckily, Cooper puts up with Joey following him around and he actually might enjoy it sometimes. Cooper and Joey are often found wrestling in our living rooms. I won't show you the family picture because that would ruin the suprise in the mail, but I do have a few pictures of Joey and his friend Cooper.

And this is what I think should be Jodi, Doug and Cooper's Christmas card picture this year. I don't know why they wouldn't want to use this picture.

New Water Bottle

Joey got a new water bottle today. I decided to buy him a Sigg cup. They are metal but completely safe from chemicals, BPA, etc. He loves it! He picked the one with a dinosaur on it. Since he is used to drinking out of a straw cup, he didn't get it at first. But now he is walking around with it playing and taking a water break every minute! Here is a picure of him chugging his water:)

Our Trip to Shreveport

Last week, Joey and I went to Shreveport, Louisiana to visit some friends. We were there for the whole week and stayed with Betty and her daughter Callie. Betty's husband is deployed so we didn't cook all week, went out for every meal, and as a result, felt sick by the end of the week! We had such a good time with our friends and although it is nice to be home in our house, we were sad to leave.
We got there on Saturday and on Sunday, we had a baby shower for my friend, Suzi. Suzi is due on Thanksgiving. We had the shower at our friend Jana's house.

Amber was there with her daughter, Caitlyn. Joey loves babies and likes to get as close as possible to them. Here he is "talking" to Caitlyn.


During the week, we spent time with our friends Suzi and her son Joseph(Joseph will be 1 on the day before Suzi is due!). This was the first time that Joey and I met Joseph and the first time that they met Joey!


Joey is really ALL boy and lies to wrestle. Except that he doesn't really get what wrestling is...he just lays next to you and tries to roll over you.


And of course, what would a playdate be without Joey trying to kiss his friends.


What a great visit we had with our friends! We hope that we will get to see them all again really soon!
